Were gearing up for a SPECTACULAR Hometown Christmas on Saturday, December 14 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in Downtown Xenia. Mark your calendars and dont miss it! The deadline to enter the Window Decorating Contest to win cash prizes - 1st: $300, 2nd: $150, 3rd: $75 - sponsored by Xenia Glass and Lock is the day before Thanksgiving, Nov. 27. Merchants, dont miss your window of opportunity for friendly competition with your neighbor businesses. This years theme is Christmas Movies, and Family Video is donating two movie packages for 1st & 2nd prizes for the Match the Movie Contest. Gather some of your friends and family together and see if you can guess the movie title for each window - so far, we have 20 windows in the contest, including Xenia Station decorated by the Friends of Xenia Station (FOXS) ! The community is encouraged to vote from December 1-14 online at xenianow.org, click Hometown Christmas, or paper ballots will be available at participating stores. All ballots must be placed in the ballot box at Xenia Shoe and Leather Repair by 8:00 p.m. at Hometown Christmas on December 14, and winners will be announced the week after the event.
