Were having a good day today. Brielle did have another retching episode today that clogged her throat and she couldnt breathe again. She didnt like it and neither did I. When I sat her up so much mucous came flying out of her mouth I had to change her crib sheet, outfit, and diaper there was spit everywhere! Im thinking something may be wrong with her nissen. Before when she would retch; she just would drool a little. Now soo much stuff comes out I can see why she chokes. Otherwise everything has been good (beside the fact she hasnt pooped in 2 days). She is full of smiles as always! Still preparing for this hospital stay. Its most likely going to be just me and Brielle there because I cant afford to feed myself for a week and have gas money everyday for daddy to drive there and back to see us. Hoping this hospital stay is full of good news. If Brielles nissen is say loose or undone, she will have to get it surgically redone which even though shes had the surgery before and its very minor Im nervous. She has gotten a fair share of surgeries and I dont know how to prepare myself for another so soon :/ Brielle will go through another dumping protocol. She will fast, and have her sugars checked every hour until they go below 70. Then they will check every 30min until under 50. If Brielle does still in fact suffer from hypoglycemia we will find a new plan for feeding her(I honestly think shes grown out of it, her blood sugars have been wonderful). She also has to get a swallow study done to check for aspirations. While she is there, if any other of her doctors need testing done it will be handled during this admission. So not ready for her to be admitted :/ and I dont think this admission is going to go so well in her eyes. When I change her nasal cannula she grabs my hand and pushes it. I cant see how theyre going to be able to do all of this with a very active baby who knows what she does and doesnt want/like.
