Were not anointed because we suffer, but we suffer because were - TopicsExpress

Were not anointed because we suffer, but we suffer because were anointed! In and through that suffering we are perfected. Yes the oil does not come from the olive until its crushed, BUT, the oil is already in the olive even BEFORE its crushed! Its crushed for the purpose of getting the oil out of it for the benefit of OTHERS. The anointing is placed in us for service. So as the suffering takes place, the lesser of our flesh we should see and that anointing will become even more evident. David was anointed king even before he was publicly celebrated. He even slew Goliath! But it was not until after he suffered..(persecuted by Saul, Cave of Adullum, Bathsheba incident, etc.) that his greatest moments came. So then, God anoints you but suffering matures you! After you have suffered awhile, make you perfect (mature). Here are the words of a great apostle.... 2 Corinthians 12:7 KJV [7] And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 KJV [9] And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. [10] Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christs sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. Bishop T. BETTER 2015
