Were not completely through the holidays yet, so heres another tip for everyone, and especially those in recovery - Don’t forget about self-care: Continue to utilize stress management, relaxation, & other coping skills to maintain balance in your recovery. HALT – being too Hungry, Angry, Lonely, or Tired are factors that put you at risk for relapse, so avoid these things by continuing to take care of yourself meeting your immediate needs. If you feel down, remind yourself of the positive things in your life that you are grateful for (i.e. Good health, good friends, job, financial stability, supportive people, safety, clean time, etc.).
