Were very active this semester! Tonight the MA students will visit Keepers, a pop-up design store in the heart of Orchard Road. Next Tuesday, theyll attend In Conversation with Carol Becker, at LASALLE room F201, starting at 7 pm. Professor Carol Becker is Dean of Columbia University School of the Arts and formerly Dean of Faculty and Senior Vice-President for Academic Affairs at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 1994 – 2007. With research interests that range from feminist theory, American cultural history and the education of artists, to South African art and politics, Professor Becker has published widely and her latest book, Thinking in Place: Art, Action and Cultural Production, was published in 2008 by Paradigm Press.
