Were you there when they crucified my Lord??? Last night Kevin Alexander gave an amazing vivid portrayal in words of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. I wish it had been recorded. I was not alone in my tears. Do you really realize what God did...? Do you understand the agony Jesus went through to pay for the sins of this dying world!? Do you realize that it was not just physical torture and pain, but it was the bearing of the wrath of God that was poured out ... Because of us... The taking on of the curse... Because of us. Suffering the consequences of all of our sins... Because of us. All borne in His body on that tree. Think about that and see if the Holy Spirit doesnt convict you to tears. Nobody is without sin. Nobody has a good heart. We were ALL born into sin. Everyone. And we are not saved from the wrath of God by a little two-sentence prayer. We are not saved from the wrath of God by good works. After all JESUS did to redeem us... To buy our salvation... How could we cheapen it to that level? I pray that this weekend the distractions of Easter programs with their pomp and fanfare, the big feasts, the colored eggs (?) and the Easter baskets (?) would fade to the background and the spotlight of reality would bring to the forefront such a revelation of what happened at the cross that it would drive us all to our knees. Sinner and saved alike. We all need to lead a life of repentance... Glory to His holy precious name. . . Were you there when He rose up from the grave?
