Western Canada Fire Protection (NW) Ltd. is hiring a Fire Protection Technician. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the inspection, servicing and maintenance of fixed and portable fire protection, suppression and detection systems, emergency lighting and sprinkler systems. As well as general shop duties including order picking and receiving. The ideal candidate would be a high energy; customer focused team player who possesses experience in a fast-paced industrial service environment and/or fire protection industry. Knowledge of National Fire Protection Codes, fire alarms, fire suppression systems and portable equipment inspection, testing and maintenance, as well as familiarity with scheduling and work order systems would be considered an asset. Travel out of town and overtime are necessary; therefore flexibility in hours of work will be required. A valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract are mandatory. Special consideration will be given to candidates with the following qualifications: A.S.T.T. Certification, College Diploma and/or Factory Training. Please note that combinations of education and/or experience will be considered and where appropriate, training will be provided. Wage to be determined by experience.
