Western Cape politics Open Letter to Everyone. (Give a Copy to Mcebisi Skwatsha if you see him) Good day The announcement of ANCYL Western Cape Provincial Task Team by the National Task Team (NTT) confirms the regrouping of the faction of the former disbanded Provincial Chairperson (Mcebisi Skwatsha) who is now the National Executive Committee member of the ANC, deployed to oversee the NTT. This is lucidly evident in the appointment of Mbulelo Memani as the Coordinator of the Province. Memani is not just aligned but simultaneously a confidante of Mcebisi Skwatsha. Memani is the former provincial Deputy Chairperson of the YL. This comrade disowned the decision of the YL on the disbandment of the ANC whilst he participated in the meeting. He went astray to organise his own press conference to denounce the decision of the ANCYL in defence of his principal Mcebisi Skwatsha.He was then suspended by the YL. The names of YL PTT members are all pure Skwatsha faction who has been having a busy schedule since the beginning of the processes to appoint ANCYL PTT in the Western Cape. The house of Mr Skwatsha has been busy with YL members who were kneeling down on him to be appointed to the YL PTT as he is having a sizeable number of NTT members like Braam Hanekom and Thembinkosi Josopu. It is a fact that all those who went to Mr Skwatsha’s house in Gugulethu Malunga Park were given a slate. Part of the terms of this slate was that if they made it to the PTT in return they were to assist to aid his faction to oust Cde Marius Fransman, whom is seen as right hand man of President Jacob Zuma. During the Provincial Conference of the ANC the President’s political input was very clear such that Mr Skwatsha did not take it lying down. Those with sober minds will remember that the President JZ statement stressed the fact that leadership has to be elected on the basis of the work that is to be done and not based on the slate of individuals. He (Mcebisi Skwatsha) rubbished the names of YL members who were at the forefront of the disbandment of the PEC of the ANC which was led by him. He further removed all the comrades who were at the fore-front of rebuilding the ANC under the leadership of Jacob Zuma and whom Mr Skwatsha believed are aligned to Marius Fransman and are against politics of patronage hence he made sure they never made it to the list. It is also a fact that Skwatsha has re-assembled his faction post Mangaung. He believes currently that the addition of YL PTT,Women’s league and YCL will make his “COME BACK” campaign very strong. This has been confirmed by the current embattled YCL Provincial Secretary (Nokuthula Nqaba) who has been defying the SACP and currently working with Mr Skwatsha to oust cde Marius Fransman as Chairperson of the ANC, and Khaya Magaxa in the upcoming SACP provincial congress. She believes that Khaya Magaxa is not supposed to be re-elected as the Provincial Secretary of the SACP and as a result she is forming parallel Branches to advance her un-ending thirst for power even though she failed dismally to build YCL branches. Thus Mr Skwatsha has handpicked people who are neither prolific nor educated about Youth league Politics and its dynamics in order to manipulate, remote control and uses them against his adversaries. People like her who do not respect the alliance partners, are a virus that perpetuates the divisions in the movement. The NTT members succumbed to this nonsense because they had vested interest in leading the ANC YL and it is a well known fact that the coordinator and the convener of the NTT do not see eye to eye. The ANC NEC members deployed in the NTT like Mcebisi Skwatsha himself took advantage of the fact that there is lack of unity and cohesion in the NWT. For example it is common knowledge that Mawethu Rune and Magasela Mzobe have ambitions of becoming the President of the ANCYL and these are reflected on the appointment of Aphiwe Bewana. The list of the Western Cape PTT was changed on the last moment after there was a meeting between the coordinator of the NTT and all the NEC members who are deployed in the NTT. These NEC members managed to bulldoze cde Magasela Mzobe to allow the list manufactured by Skwatsha Faction to triumph as opposed to the one of the product the cluster deployed in the WC agreed upon. So the original list was thrown outside the window mainly because it had characters which he wouldn’t remote control. The appointed stooges termed as Western Cape PTT have the following mandate from the self appointed God of ANC Western Cape (Mr. Mcebisi Skwatsha): 1.Ensuring the removal of cde Marius Fransman as a Provincial Chairperson. This being done after the wedge-driver recruited from PAC (Mr. Mcebisi Skwatsha) had failed to garner support for a move to declare a vote of no confidence in the PGC of the ANC pre Mangaung; 2.To call for the immediate disbandment of the current leadership of the ANC; 3.Rallying behind Mcebisi Skwatsha’s come back as Provincial Chairperson of ANC; 4.Assist YCL in agitating the removal of Magaxa in the upcoming provincial conference of the SACP hence the appointment of the “YCL Provincial Secretary”. Perhaps a need to unmask some of the PTT is needed and these are the following: 1.Luvo Makasi: ·Luvo joined the ANCYL only in 2011 during the process in which he ploughed a lot of money buying Branches of the ANC Youth League to make him the Chairperson. He actually received funding from Julius Malema to go to Gallagher 24th Conference of the ANC leading delegates which were all to endorse what he wanted. Luvo went all way to fund the group that disrupted the centenary lecture of the ANC addressed by President Zuma in Goodhope Centre last year. He contributed immensely to the new culture and tendency of purchasing membership of the YL in the province with money he received from the Nkuhlu family. 2.Nokuthula Nqaba: ·She never wanted the ANCYL to exist during the time she was in SASCO at UWC. She never participated in any ANCYL branch as this is a basic unit of the organisation. She never realised the importance of being a YL member until when she developed interest in partaking in the NTT. However Skwatsha failed to put her there. He succeeded to put her in the PTT despite the fact that she isn’t a member of the ANCYL. One is then compelled to question of her ability to build a dynamic organisation such as the ANCYL. This comrade is not only failing the YCL, she is respectively inadequate in the Regional Executive Committee of the ANC in the Dullar Omar Region. She now leads her own YCL that is repugnant to the fundamentals inherent to the SACP. She is working with Cde Mcebisi to destabilise the SACP and to ensure that she is in the incoming PEC of ANC that will be led by Skwatsha despite Constitutional perimeters. However he will appoint his person as he is believed to yield power as direct respondent of President in the ANC as he is NEC by his supporters. This “leadership hat collector” has no record of delivery to all the structures she has led. 3.Aphiwe Bewana: ·Not a member of ANCYL from Western Cape, he is just a student at UCT and never participated in the ANCYL of this Province. His knowledge and understanding of the issues of young people is limited. 4.Thandiswa Dlongodlongo: ·Is Skwatsha’s girlfriend, only led in an ANCYL Branch with the sole intention of advancing the cause of Skwatsha. Ultimately that Branch died under her leadership. 5.Mkhululi Hangana: ·Was part of the ANCYL that bought Branches for Julius as funded by Luvo Makasi. He is now abusing his mother Nomatyala Hangana’s pension to mobilise ANCYL/ANC members to continue to destabilise the Central Karoo region. He is a remnant of the bad tendency like Luvo. The questions that has to be asked is what have Hangana done for young people in the Central Karoo region as the Chief Whip in the council? All others are just feeble minded Young People who have no knowledge of the YL but innocent souls who are being cohesed once more to depict our Province as one that knows no activism other than supporting Skwatsha. They will be victims like Braam Hanekom and Thembinkosi Josopu who both believe that everything said by Skwatsha is correct, simply by virtue of being appointed by him. As highlighted above, in order for everyone to understand that those who are appointed will not assist in rebuilding and repositioning the ANCYL. Where have you ever seen a situation where in the Province former ANCYL leaders are not consulted in order for them to give their perspective in assisting the rebuilding process? Where have you ever heard a process where people are not even told that they are being tasked with the immense responsibility as huge as this in a difficult Province as Western Cape? Where have you ever heard a situation where the ANC Provincial Chairperson view is not considered, let alone the ANC Official’s views or the view of the ANC PEC? This entire process and its outcomes are flawed. It is clear that the entrenched factionalism in our Province is championed by Mcebisi Skwatsha. People like Luvo Makasi have no choice but to submit to powers that derive from Malunga Park. Therefore it is clear that this PTT will not produce any results as per the mandate of this NTT, it will just die its Natural Death. The NEC of ANC had expected that the NTT as led by Skwatsha will rebuild the ANCYL in all provinces but Skwatsha being a political vulture who scavenge on factionalism, patronage of unsuspecting, and poor people has smeared a grease on the pole in which the PTT has to climb to in order to build branches of YL and to assist ANC to reclaim the Western Cape from DA. The NTT has an opportunity to establish a long lasting unity solution in the Western Cape by appointing youth leaders that are not factional and have the skills to champion the issues of young people. The youth is tired of following leaders that define themselves as people of Ebrahim Rasool, James Ngculu, and Mcebisi Skwatsha and other factionalists. All we want is to serve the aspirations of young people who want unity and progress in the Western Cape.
