Weve added a Mentor Division to entice instructors, clinicians, and trainers to participate in ACTHA events at a reduced fee, knowing that it is a wonderful opportunity for our riders to ride with and learn from these professionals, but not compete against them. Event hosts are encouraged to reach out to local professionals to have them at events and share their knowledge with all ACTHA riders. Weve all seen the instructors, clinicians, and trainers take a more active role in our events and it can be intimidating to compete against them! For the most part, theyre at our events to school a young horse, or coach students, and oftentimes youll see them out on the trail. We encourage you to introduce yourself, learn from them, and gain an understanding of their philosophies and training methods. Its a great way to learn about a variety of instructors before making a decision about furthering your (or your horses) skills in a casual environment. INSTRUCTORS & TRAINERS - get out there and mingle! This is a great opportunity for you to meet new students! Ride Hosts are encouraged to utilize Mentors and have them do clinics, demos, and teach at your rides!
