Weve called him a genius and truly believe it! Ryan Kennedy is a sophomore in the Columbia / Juilliard exchange, studying organ with Paul Jacobs. Currently organ scholar at Morristown Presbyterian Church in New Jersey, and a recitalist-in-training, he is doing his best to cope with a scary professional world. In 2013, he was awarded first prize in the American Guild of Organists Quimby Competition, and will be giving a concert at the National Convention in Boston this summer. He is also an avid accompanist, having worked with the Caramoor Bel Canto Festival, and is training as a vocal coach, partly through working with NOW. He is excited to indulge during this performance in perhaps the most fun musical task of all--improvising a continuo realization on the harpsichord through the whole opera (and hoping it sounds nice).
