Weve got some great bluegrass coming up at the amphitheater! Join us as we host Lost Mountain June 7 at 7 pm. Theres no admission charge! About Lost Mountain: Jeff Smith, from Pike County, comes from a long line of musicians. When he was thirty-five he learned the upright bass and the rest is history. Also known for his wonderful tenor voice, he has an extensive background in Bluegrass Music. Randy Blackburn, from Pike County, began playing guitar at the age of six, and he’s still going! He added the banjo to his talents in the 90’s, and has been in such bands as The Pike County Ramblers and gospel groups around the area. Rodney Smith began playing guitar at 11 years old. Since then he has become a proficient banjo player and is well-known in bluegrass circles. He has appeared on stages over a large section of the county to wide acclaim. Sandy Blackburn is Jeff Smith’s sister, and together their singing talents are the forefront of The Lost Mountain Band They are known for their outstanding harmonies and talented presence on stage. Chris Browning is from Matewan. He is a multi talented musician, played with many bands in the past, and is now a member of The Lost Mountain Bluegrass Band.
