Weve recently received this message from Professor Marcial Echenique, an expert in regional and urban planning at the department and fellow at Chruchill: “The film Blow-up is based on a novel by the Argentinian writer Julio Cortazar which, in turn, is based on a real event that occurred in Paris. The real event was witness by the famous Chilean photographer Sergio Larrain Echenique (a cousin of mine, who died last year) who was part of the Magnum agency, founded by Henri Cartier-Bresson (see Wikipedia). Books and obituaries are been published on Sergio Larrain’s work.” Great film and a really interesting back story. See you there!
