So, today’s #KnoleAdvent is our medieval barn which is being converted into a world-class conservation studio. It’s 76 crenellations have been removed and the pitch roof, which was destroyed in a fire in 1887, is being reinstated.Heres an artists impression of what the reinstated roof will look like, the impressive scaffolding which currently covers the barn, and an image of the original roof on fire.
