What Do You Do When No One Else Can Help? June 14th, 2013 It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God. Have you ever felt helpless in life? You felt alone in a world full of people. You felt as though no one could be trusted. Have you ever felt neglected? Friends and family broke their promises to you. Have you ever felt trapped in life? No matter how hard you try, it seems as though you will never be able to get out. Maybe it is your job that makes you feel trapped. Or it could be your debt that makes you feel trapped. Whatever it is, you find yourself crying out for someone to hear and rescue you. After all you have done for other people, you expect someone to come to your rescue. Right? So often in our lives, our cry for assistance is ignored by the one person you never imagined it would be. Have you been there? Are you there now? Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. My friend, What Do You Do When No One Else Can Help? Where do you turn for guidance? Is there anyone you can trust now? The Bible declares in Psalms 121:1-2 - I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. What Do You Do When No One Else Can Help? It is there that you must ask God to help you. There are no secrets hidden from the Lord. There’s nothing too hard for God (Genesis 18:14). The Bible declares in Isaiah 59:1 - Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear: If you sincerely cry out for help, He is able to respond to your request (Ephesians 3:20). In the face of lies and rumors, God is still your helper (Psalms 30:10). When hell has attempted to surround you, God is your refuge and fortress (Psalms 9:9). When friends have forsaken you, God will stick closer than your brother (Proverbs 18:24). My brother, my sister, What Do You Do When No One Else Can Help? You learn how to rest in the arms of God. The Bible declares in Psalms 46:1 - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. No one really knows the pain you feel but the Lord. No one believes it can get better, but God said it can. People think you are weird. Your faith is considered to be foolish. You are mocked and scorned. Fingers are pointed in judgment toward you. It is hard to smile at times. You really want to react. The Bible declares in 2 Chronicles 20:15 - … Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. What Do You Do When No One Else Can Help? You begin to thank the Lord. Do you not know, people who help you will never let you forget they did? They will always remind you (sometimes in front of other people). Always know, you have a helper in the Lord Jesus Christ. Thought to Remember: When you are in need of help, there’s only one choice.
