What Im about to say at any point please do not confront me personally about it cause how I feel will not change.... So today in church we watched Gods not dead. Now as we watched this the two main characters were from what I seen a atheist professor and a Christian student who both had a dispute about you guessed it ...god existing. Now as we watched it,it hit my core but not in the way youd expect. The two characters to me were ironically both representations of how I feel. The atheist so pained by his past had no faith in The Lord left thus leading him down a successful yet hollow path, and the Christian so passionate no force could sway him from his ambition. Now Ive always been skeptical about like EVERYTHING from eating a sandwich to walking down the street. In my mind why should I give myself to god if there is no viable proof of his existence. But this student he hit so many valid points it opens the question. Who am I to preconceive something I dont fully understand? I mean my dad always says dont talk about it if you dont know about đź’Ż% so I didnt I just kept my mouth shut for a long time about it actually. But in this movie between the two of them I realized something. Maybe I should reconsider my future. I mean Ive always loved metacognition and philosophy not to mention history. And isnt that all the bible is along with immense faith and prayer? But with the hypocrisy of everyday living especially in my generation it is SO easy to sway from the path. Not to mention all the biased opinions of not only Christians but atheist alike. The two sides arguing who is right and who is wrong. So I say all that to say this. I am now thinking of instead of becoming an engineer....I may become or at least study theology to find some answers if not for anything else in this world but for me. But do not fray I still intend to serve my country in all foreign aspects and domestic. Thank you for all who read this post. Feedback is always appreciated.
