What a Blessed week and day, really. Had quality time and dinner mid week with Barbara Hawayek and Adi Miro. Celebrated Alicia Monty, my aunts best friends life, and shared my sorrow for her passing with her beautiful family. Their friendship was over fifty years long. It was a lesson for me on the qualities and ingredients that comprise a genuine friendship. There for the good times, the bad, and all of the time. Expressed our joy and congratulations with and for my colleagues, Cindy Paxtons retirement (after 37 years of service to the county) with other members of my county family at a wonderful luncheon. Today, I connected with friends of yesteryear; Maria Salome Palmar and we unexpectedly ran into Caprice. Shortly thereafter, Fernándo Roman Jané , another friend from yesteryear called to see me. We have not seen each other for over 20 years, perhaps longer. We will make it happen tomorrow! How wonderful to be gifted with these opportunities. Finally, to add to the beautiful day: In my discussing something with Tenaj, she interrupts me to say: I love it when you talk to me with your hands on your hips; it is so Nazabal of you. Nazabal is my moms maiden name, and yes all of the Nazabal women tend to talk with their hands on their hips, particularly when emphatically making a point. Happy Saturday friends! Love to each and all of you.
