What a GREAT & BUSY week weve had at The Plaza so far! Monday, we celebrated MLKs Day by holding our VIP Training session where we recruited another 35 Volunteers. Were now over 100 active volunteers! I bet MLK himself would be proud of all these wonderful people who give of themselves to better their community! Tuesday we had a school system field trip and welcomed hundreds of children from Putnam County School System to see Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad. It was great to see all the little smiling faces! That same afternoon, we had over 50 Elementary kids come for the After School Art Program (ASAP). I volunteered for that session and man did we have a great time making snowflakes and writing Haikus. This morning we had the High School kids come out to see War Bonds: Songs and Letters from WWII and they had a grand theatrical experience...had some laughs and learned a lot from the Q&A that went into overtime because they had so many questions! Tonight, War Bonds will put on an encore for the public at 8 PM. The show is nearly 2 hours long and tickets are only $10! Vets come for free! Tickets are available at the door! See ya at The Plaza!
