What a crap day! Discovered that there was a pinhole leak in a water pipe leading to the hot water tank-- been going on a long time apparently-- long enough to saturate the water heater closet and everything in it and cover it all in black mold. Gaaaah. Jamie had to tear out the drywall and even the flooring. Have now saturated all the wood and inner walls with bleach... I feel like Ill never get the smell of mold and bleach out of my nose. Ahhh well, shit happens, at least the weather is beautiful and we could open up the whole house to air it all out. I cant believe we didnt know there was a leak, but really, we never go even near that closet. I just happened to open it to pull out some winter coats to donate and was shocked when a wave of hot, moldy air hit me. Probably wont have the hot water tank back in the house for a few days either, so Ill soon be begging hot showers from my friends and family... LOL! So much for a nice relaxing Sunday...
