What a crazy day! I met up with my ex-boss Jens from when I lived in Italy who is now a dear friend and we wanted to go to the neighboring country of Slovenia to enjoy a typical lunch, some relaxing time on the beach, and then a live jazz concert there. Right after crossing the border, Jens car got broken and we spent most of the day finding a place where it could get repaired (which we did, but it will not get repaired until tomorrow). We ended up having to take a long and a bit pricey taxi ride back to Italy but not without taking home some of the best cakes I have ever had in my whole life. :-) These, our friendship, and the breathtakingly beautiful landscapes in Slovenia have made my day anyway, even though the start was a bit rough. :-D
