What a crazy weekend of racing. Zach and the #7 Racing For Hope - TopicsExpress

What a crazy weekend of racing. Zach and the #7 Racing For Hope Foundation/Autism Speaks Bando ran at the legendary Langley Speedway this Saturday. Practice went well........running top 5 times. Lined up for Qualifying and battery was dead. Jumped it to get on the track, but less than a lap and dead again. That put us starting at the back of the field for the Feature race. Zach ran an awesome race working his way up through the field .........ran 4th for a few laps then battled for 3rd. Gave up his 4th spot at the end and settled into a top 5 finish. Great job to Devon Courtney on his win. Sunday the SFA team packed up the Kart and headed back to Langley Speedway to join our fellow competitors at the Hampton Roads Kart Club for some oval racing in Junior 1. Zach got the pole and lead 12 of the 20 laps before spinning out coming off of turn 2. He went to the back and on 2 laps was back in 2 place racing his good buddy Donnie Greybeck. With 1 to go, we tried to pass on the same corner and spun out and took a shot from an oncoming racer (no one hurt). Wound up 5th. Looks like it was a weekend of 5ths. Cant say enough about Donnie Greybeck and his Victory. Great job!!!! These kids in Junior 1 really race each other.......Total respect!!! They compete but not to the point of wrecking a fellow driver. Starts with the parents. And when you have a group of QUALITY parents as our division (rooting for not only their kid but others as well), fun is created!! Awesome sponsors make it happen.....K1 RaceGear, Smithfield Family Automotive (SFA), Knox automotive, Amsoil Synthetic Lubricants - East Coast Synthetics for sponsoring our Bando division, Our buddies at On Pit Road Racing, Jordan Affordable Grafix, Susan Milton Realtor, RBs Tree Service, Richard Noblitt Motorsports (RNM), Autism Speaks, G&Gs Cycle Works
