What a day. It all started innocently enough, I was on my way to pick up Anj, so she could keep me company on the ride to Frankenmuth, to pick up the baby from KayLynn. Just as NotSiri of driod navi and i are closing in on her location, she says GPS signal lost. After a minute, she had me turn right on Michigan Ave, and then again a block up, on Nowlin St, and told me to proceed for a quarter mile ahead. She had me going in a small circle, I realized. As I got to the next stop sign, I saw the damdest thing. At first glance, I thought it looked like a CH kitty hauling-yet-dragging itself across the intersection. As I got closer, I realized it wasnt a kitty. It was instead, a very small white doggy. A white poodle mix of some kind. I hurried through the intersection, and pulled over. It seemed that the little guy had escaped from his house, decided to chase a young man on his bike, darting out in front of a hysterical, weeping young lady. She was being comforted by a woman who saw it happen. Also on the scene was a quick thinking mail lady. She read a number from doggys collar, it led to a vet, who called the owner, who lived just up the street. We got doggy to some soft green grass in the shade, and I sat with him while the mail lady went to fetch the owners. Bless the vet, for trusting the mail lady, and revealing the address. A neighbor brought a blanket for doggy, and we covered him up, as i stroked his head, and murmured about how everything was gonna be ok. After a short time the mail lady arrived with an older gentlemen and his grandson. They had no idea the little sweetie had gotten out. I hope he is ok. He was so quiet, and sad.
