What a day! The outcry of shock, sympathy, but most importantly, support was overwhelming. What a Padstal family! We cannot express our gratitude enough. Thank you. We also had 131 new members join our Padstal family since yesterday morning. Welcome to you too. And here is the good news. The police arrested on a neighbouring farm the alleged culprit!! Well done to the police. You are welcome to a drink on the house once the “house” is standing again. We would also like to thank everybody who pledged their support. There were too many to name but I would just like to make a special mention of Andrew Ross and the Wild Dogs. Thank you guys. Friends, please take up their offer. As you can imagine, Wally and Hein lost irreplaceable treasures in the fire so if you have any antiques or you are prepared to raid your grandfather’s barn. ..you know what sort of things they had...anything will be welcome. I am sure Wally & Hein will reach out for support as far as building material is concerned, best prices etc, once the forensic investigation is done and they have time to assess their needs for a GREATER and BETTER (if that is possible) Tankwa Padstal. Weereens baie baie dankie aan almal. PS. Ek hoor die donkiekardag word nog gehou in die begin van November. Nee swaer, jy sal nie sommer die Langes onderkry nie!
