What a day! Went to the University of Colorado Hospital today for my one year post BMT checkup. It started with a bone density scan, followed by a pulmonary test. After those they did blood work where they took 11 vials of blood. Next, I met with the Dietician and finally the transplant doctor and a new doctor to the staff. My final stop was for a bone marrow biopsy. It was a long day as we left home at 6:45am and did not get home until 12 hours later. All of the news was good and he is slowly weaning me off of some of my meds. The Dietician is also lowering restrictions the types of foods I can eat. What great news on my one year checkup!
