What a day this has beeen!!!!! People who say theres nothing to do in Wichita must not know where to look! Theres so much going on that you just CANT do it all!!!! Started off the morning with 10,000 other people at The Race for the Cure to benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation... what an unbelieveable turn out for such a great cause!!!! Then at noon, headed back downtown for the Wichita Wagonmasters Downtown Chili Cook-off. The streets were packed FULL of people sampling some of the BEST chili ever made... Tonight I have the HONOR of emceeing the Salvation Armys Consignment Couture event at The Petroleum Club. This is one of my very favorite events of the year.... its the ONLY fashion show that showcases local designers. Each of them are given $125 and tasked with creating a half-runway collection of 3 different looks. The trick is everything they use has to be purchased at the Salvation Army thirft store. COME JOIN US for this unbelieveable creative display of talent! Its like watching a local version of Project Runway. YYou wont believe what they create!!! Bonnie Bing, and Sen. Michael ODonnell II are among tonights judges.
