What a difference 4yrs makes...from the first time I held his hand...to him holding a phone talking to Daddy Well the good news first: God has answered our prayers and Eli does not have to go back to surgery today. The general surgeon said it would be ok to use for what we need with where it has flipped to. Now for the bad news/prayer request: Eli is really having a hard time right now with his breathing and overall status. Hes retaining a lot of fluid. We just had X-rays of his chest to see if something has settled in there. He will not be able to go home today, but at least hes not going back to surgery. It breaks my heart seeing him feel so bad on his birthday. Praying he makes a rapid turn around. Im so thankful that Lauren is back in town to be his nurse, she knows him so well that she can sense when something is changing and she reacts immediately. Thank you all for the prayers and birthday wishes for Eli ❤️🎉🎁🎂
