What a glorious morning to be alive. This cool and rainy weather sure puts me in a baking mood. Rebeka tried to convince me to make lots of peach pies but Im not ready to use my frozen peaches just yet. I havent made any fried peach pies in some time. Who doesnt love a fried pie? Its another perfect food. You just hold it in your hand while you eat it, trying to keep the filling from running down your fingers. That flaky crust and not too firm filling and my favorite part is the top of the pie that has the fork marks that holds the filling inside. My grandmother used to make apricot fried pies and they were another favorite of mine. I dont see too many people making fried pies these days, Im sure glad my mother taught me how to make them.
