What a great day exploring the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe with Elida Errante today! After hiking completely around Spooner Lake, we drove north and parked alongside Highway 28 and hiked down to the beach at historic Skunk Harbor, pics posted earlier. Only the very rich came here 100 years ago, and the buildings are still in great shape at the beach. Zoom in on Google map and youll make out the trail we went (about 3 miles and 800 feet elevation). Then we explored the amazingly beautiful, absolutely stunning Sand Harbor park, videos posted earlier. My Fitbit recorded 12.5 miles for two casual explorers who also ate well at three amazing restaurants. Love this lake!! Tomorrow we take the gondolas up and explore the top of Heavenly Valley!!
