What a huge year yet again for our mighty rugby club. Excellent results for our Juniors, Thirds taking on the New England and our two top sides battling their way into the GF against quality opposition, to take on more quality rivals tomorrow. Congrats to all who have pulled on the bumblebee strip and crossed that white stripe. Everyone has contributed a valuable min, ten, half or game to make us Club champions yet again. We face more than the players on the park tomorrow as everyone else wants to see us brought down. Its the nature of Australian sport and society and all we can do is be the best we can on the day, respect our rivals and compete till the final whistle. Weve battled from easybeats, had many ups and downs and worked hard as a united group to consistently overcome the pressure of other codes to put 4, and now 5, sides on the park week in and out. On top of setting an enviable record of 6 out of the past 7 grand finals to be hunting for a 5th premiership. Well done to the President, his committee, all the many helpers, sponsors and supporters, as well as our excellent coaching group whove worked the players through the murky areas of the new two tier comp. Its tested all clubs, but especially us with us constantly having to fill 5 sides and overcome the increased injury count on top of the usual season problems of any club. Top stuff! If you are a Pirate of any description, take the drive out tomorrow. There are nearly 500 of you on this group and those who are nearby or local will make a difference if you hit Dangar tomorrow. Win or lose, the players will appreciate all who bellow out a Pirate call tomorrow. It might be your voice which helps them across the line. Thanks all. Bring it on! Attitude! Application! Execution! The result looks after itself.
