What a nice way to end the day! Just got this beautiful 5-star review on Thunder Struck from someone I dont know. Thank you, Donna! I opened this book up with no real expectations. I hadnt read any reviews, I had only read the synopsis. It seemed like it would be a good story. I was wrong. It was a great story!! It hit all of the high marks. It had strong and believable characters. They were easy to like and it was easy to feel the spark they so obviously shared. Shes a smart, strong and savvy lawyer who walks away from a bad relationship with some emotional battle scars. Hes a hard working, highly regarded contractor, hell bent on avoiding entanglements. Together they take on the project of remodeling and restoring her inheritance. Along the way they encounter mysteries and treasures and a love that will make them both stronger! I have to say the way Mimi Foster handled and wrote the mystery and suspense parts of this book was absolutely a touch of pure genius! I think I was just as invested in the characters of the past as I was Jordan and Brandan. When I opened this book I had no idea that it was the second in the series or that there were more to come after it. Now Ill be going back and picking up the first book in the series (Thunder Snow) and when it comes out Ill definitely be grabbing a copy of the next book. I cant wait to revisit these lovely friends!
