What an anniversary day for Emily. Last year on Dec 16 the we got the call to get Emily to Springfield, St Johns and she received her first blood and platelet transfusion. Today I got a call to go to the Jr volleyball practice and see Emily because of leg pain. Three ambulance rides later and two e.r. visits we are heading to St Louis Childrens hospital because she has a blood clot in her leg. They are calling it May Thurner Syndrome. An anatomical blockage of her iliac vein. (I think i got it right) When we get to St. Louis they will assess her and see how to remove the blood clot. She is an extremely blessed young lady. She is defining all odds and obstacles in her way. I will try to keep you all posted. Thank you again for all of your prayers! HaKuhna Matata Hospital Greetings
