What an awesome day! First off, My Inca Joe did his first small set of tempis today! Twice! They were fours, just a couple, but the second set was on demand! It started off a mistake...I was doing a half pass left, went to straighten him, he flipped a change. Innocent mistake, if I had been on top of my seat demands and legs a little better, probably wouldnt have happened. Thank Gosh it did! I thought to myself, shoot, he just flipped a change the bad direction, I bet I can flip a change easily back to his good direction. Just ask for it! I did! He gave it to me easily and without anxiety. Immediately I thought, Do it on purpose this time! So...I did, with the same result, on demand, this time with absolutely proper aids. What a horse. I just love him. Hot Shot started out a little behind the leg, I had to get after him some, but he ended up so good, so fun, so proud of him. The boy is coming along! Then we have Lucky! What a nice, nice horse. He really hasnt given me a bit of trouble. I sat down into the canter today, really hugged him but good with my legs, touched him with my spur, it was alllll good, even better for it! He has a big canter. But hes balanced for such a big horse. Still in the getting-to-know-you phase. I left him in the cross-tie tonight while I prepped the hay, perfect gentleman. Stood there like a Rock Star. Perfect manners in the barn. Came up from the barn and saw the last two minutes of the Hawks game, the most important two minutes! Goooo Hawks! Great day Id say!
