What an incredible 2 days in Jordan so far. After visiting the city of Aqaba and a 3-hour midnight trek through the snow covered Jordanian dessert in a 4x4, we arrived in Petra. It was -10 degrees and completely white after the snow storm. We were very lucky because it is extremely rare to see snow here. We explored the ancient city of Petra, rode donkeys uphill towards an ancient monastery. Broke bread and exchanged stories with local sheppards before cruising down the desert highway in the outside cargo section of a pickup truck during sunset. Finally, we were invited to the house of a Jordanian Bedouin man who cooked dinner for us and introduced us to his family. Tomorrow Wadi Ram, Turkish baths and back over the border to Israel.
