Keynote speaker and Wall Street mogul, Carla Harris, Vice Chairman at Morgan Stanley, inspired everyone in attendance and left us with her 5 Pearls of Wisdom. Which of these resonates with you the most? 1. Perception is the co-pilot of reality. Pick 3 adjectives you want people to say about you, and train them to think this way about you. 2. You MUST be comfortable taking risks. Fear has no place in your success equation. 3. You CANNOT do it alone. There are 2 types of professional currenty: performance and relationship. Women tend to over-invest in performance currency, but relationship currency is the most important. 4. Nobody can be you the way that you can be you. Embrace your authentic self. 5. If you want to maximize your power, you have to use everything in your tool chest. 3 common tools we all have: education, experience, and network, but network is the most underutilized!
