What do we do when a YSTL member is under a attack. Stand up fight back! As some of you may or may not know Rasheen Aldridge our Director was unjustly fired from Jimmy Johns. The manager broke protocol and fired him for being 4 minutes late to a shift even though he had not been written up in the past 90 days. This was clearly retaliation for his organizing in the Fight for 15. This is a big deal and unacceptable for Jimmy Johns to fire a worker for organizing. In response , fast food allies will be supporting him today at an action at Jimmy Johns starting at 11:30. We will be meeting right across the street from the Jimmy Johns located on 1631 South Broadway. We are also calling Jimmy Johns and the manager.Were expressing concern that this is retaliation against Rasheen and we expect the situation to be resolved in his favor. Let them know that you will be using every means including your social media network to get the word out about this action and the need for the company to treat workers better.
