What do you think of these amazing Labrador Retrievers? They have such phenomenal senses about them! Ive read that a dogs eye sight is about 20/75. Meaning a pattern that a dog can barely recognize at 20 feet, a person with normal vision could identify at 75 feet. In other words, a dog would fail the standard vision test for a drivers license in our country and would be required to wear glasses! Yet, in the 3rd series of the 2013 National Retriever Championship Stake, you can read in the Retriever News Blog that The Rooster is measured at 345 yards. Then you can look at the statistics on the Callbacks List and see that 65 out of 86 dogs marked that bird for their master and brought it in; not only that bird but also two other retrieves, one at 175 yards and the other at 225 yards. Considering this is only one of 10 tests...wow.
