What fiendish thing has been seen haunting an area of Pond Square in Londons Highgate area? A half-naked, half-frozen chicken. A scary half-naked, half-frozen chicken has been seen on numerous occasions haunting the area of Pond Square in Londons Highgate. It seems the great Sir Francis Bacon decided to do an experiment with snow and decided to have his coachman buy, then kill and then pluck most of the feathers off the chicken. He then proceeded to stuff the chicken with snow and into a sack. However Bacon took ill and collapsed in the snow himself, and he died a few days later. No one knows what happened to the chicken during all this, but its shade has been observed on several occasions. Plucked of its feathers, the poor bird appears to flop around in circles and is quite hideous to look at. Of course it always disappears when someone tries to catch it.
