What happened today was such freak thing, I have to tell the story. A guy at work was taking a pallet of sheet metal out of a rack through the side door of the warehouse with a fork truck. The pallet was stacked on top of another one with short 2x4s between them. As he slid his pallet out, he didnt realize he was dragging a 2x4 back under it. The board had caught the edge of a metal strap, pulling it back like a slingshot. He raised his load a bit and the board shot forward into the warehouse like a bullet. The freak thing is that I was walking into the front door of the warehouse just in time to catch the board on the side of my foot, tearing a hole in the leather, nearly knocking me sideways. Hobbled into the shop and took my boot off, no blood. The limping went away fairly quickly, but well see as soon as my foot hits the floor in the morning. Talk about wrong place, wrong time! What are the odds?
