Five Tips to Beat Procrastination 1.Schedule Your Task. Write it down on your calendar. Be specific about date and time. Example: Saturday, August 30 at 10:00 – 11:00. 2.Be Prepared. What kind of tools and skills do you need? Can you do it by yourself or do you need help from others. 3.The Project is too big. To avoid a feeling of being overwhelmed, break the big projects into small bite size projects. Organizing your closet might take 6 hours. Schedule 30 min. per day till the job is finished. 4.Become Accountable. Ask a friend to check on you and the progress you are making. When you feel overwhelmed and ready to give up, give yourself five min break, then go back and finish the task. 5.Reward Yourself. Implement a small reward for every project you finish. The bigger the project, the bigger is your reward. Attend my upcoming workshop in September “Price of Your Procrastination” and get the tools and skills to overcome this debilitating habit.
