What is being attempted is an intolerance of a climate of proselytization in the guise of reinforcing esprit de corps. Not an intolerance of Christianity. The voices oversimplifying this are evangelical shock-jocks [and shock-jock organizations]. This is not "persecution of Christians"; this is an example of fear-mongering in the name of vote-getting. Mister G. needs to apply his energies and the opportunity of his elected position to actually do the things he was elected to do. Not this.
