What is resistance training? I have some philosophys on things. A few of them u dont wanna know. But ive found my philosophys on resistance training are getn really good results, so want 2 share with u. Any time u control a force (wether it b gravity or a force that is created by an object) with your body. You have resistance. Therefore every exercise is training with resistance. Our bodies control resistance with muscle activation. E.g if u have your arm fully extended out in front at shoulder height, and slowly lower. Your muscles have to activate to control the speed of the arm lowering. Our muscles have to activate to control our movements and still force. So the more focus u have when activating those muscles, the more those muscles will respond. Heres one of my techniques i use for muscle activation. Think of your body as a house at night with all the lights off. The rooms r your muscles. When u r just about 2 resist a force, the lights turn on in the rooms required to control the force. So when your arm is fully extended, focus on what muscles u need to turn on to control when holding still at shoulder height and during the movement. Teach yourself muscle control for better results.
