What is the most #important #meal of the day? I would say the most important meal is the one right before your typical trouble meal.........you know, the one where you tend to #overeat and crave stuff? 9 times out of 10 you will find these meals almost always have the longest lag-time between eating. Most people engage in what I call a "continuous meal". This is a meal which starts at 5pm when people arrive home, and ends 30 minutes before bed. Going along with that, typically the longest time people go without eating is from 1pm to 5pm. If you want to learn the fat loss lifestyle then you need to learn that meals are not mutually exclusive but are dependent on one another, whether you eat and what you eat at one meal DIRECTLY impacts how much you eat and what you choose to eat at your next meal. Calorie counters, meal skippers and fasters beware! The hunger hormone ghrelin makes you eat more and crave more salty, sugary, fatty foods and it is elevated when you miss meals. This is why for most people preventive eating is the best fat loss strategy. It takes a rare metabolism indeed to arrive home after 5 to 6 hours of no food and feel motivated to exercise or sit down to a large meal of fish and vegetables. Most people will skip the workout and find the salty, fatty and sugary fare as soon as possible. Stop playing the weight loss game......know your trouble meals and fix them by eating regularly: 3 meals a day and 2 snacks (morning & afternoon).
