What it means to be human. I received an email from the Dignity in Dying campaign encouraging me to promote a new book: Assisted Dying: Who Makes The Final Decision? by Lesley Close. However, there are two sides to every story, and I would also like to promote Assisted Suicide: The Liberal, Humanist Case Against Legalization by Dr Kevin Yuill. I am frustrated that the second book, which provides a balance to the arguments in the first, is so expensive. It is for anyone who is interested in the right to die issue and feels unsettled at the idea, as I do, but cant quite put their finger on why. The cost should not be an issue for anyoen with access to a UK library.... :) ...particularly an academic one! However, the book being promoted by Dignity in Dying is much cheaper and has a foreword by Terry Pratchett. Hmm....
