What its like to have ADHD and Dementia! My morning at work today: Im in the kitchen and hear water running off and on and off and on. Figure out its the half bath toilet so I turn it off at the wall because the tank is leaking. A few minutes later I need to go to the restroom and am too lazy to go back upstairs so I go to the half bath. When I try to flush the toilet, nothing happens! Ut Oh! I had already forgotten this toilet was leaking! So I go into the kitchen and get a big pitcher, fill it up with water and pour it into the toilet so it will flush. I put the pitcher back but remembered on the way through the utility room I saw one of those tree roaches half dead on the floor so I got some tissue and because i was closer to the bathroom than the trash can I decide to dump him in the toilet, then tried to flush him down!!!!!!! rotflmfbo!!!!! Now, my original plan was to get on here and tell yall how hard I was laughing tonight about my bosses neighbor! She is 86 years old and has dementia,. Her phone died yesterday so shes been using her sons cell phone. She woke me up (by cell phone) early this morning to see if I could call and get her phone fixed. I told her I would but I needed her phone bill to get the info off of it to report it online. She said she would be right over. Thats when my morning fun with the toilet began. Well, she never showed up and I got distracted and forgot about it. Later I remembered and got concerned and called her. She was fine, but had forgotten to come over. Within 5 minutes she called because she saw my name on her sons cell phone, I answered and she said did you call? Yes I said, but we already talked, OK. Five minutes later she called and said Did you just call?, Again I told her we had already spoken. So she comes over and brings the bill and AT&T will be out to fix her phone tomorrow. She visited with us for a couple of hours and left just a bit ago. I walked her home to make sure she made it in the house, I got back to work, locked the door and my phone rings! Its her Did you call? Now you tell me? Which is worse? ADHD or Dementia, or are they the same thing they just call it something different when you get older!!!!! Seriously been laughing my head off for the past 30 minutes!
