What kind of job can you get with an art degree? I guarantee about 99% of you will not becom famous unless it is locally and make enough money to be set in the future. What can you do by expressing yourself and your artistic imagination? Im alright at drawing, painting, scupting, etc., but Im no Picasso or Machiavelli either. Designing things? Most likely not, thats engineering or even interior design. Making art? There is very little art around the downtown area and we had the rebuild of indianapolis when we hosted the Super Bowl. You may like art, and thats fine. I love my major! I love that I will be in the military once I graduate. To each his own, right? I just dont see the practicality of being an art major. When the rubber meets the road, what will you do if you cant find a job since there is no technical aspect? Again, to each his own, and youre doing what you love, but whatre you going to do when you cant find a steady job with your major.
