What upsets me, you could say... Is seeing so many people paying attention to the issue at hand currently being so dire. Yet, when my husband was deployed last year, his meals were cut from 3 to 2. As a sniper, the least the government couldve done for him was make sure he was well fed day round. He doesnt ask for much. For those who know us, know my husband is a humble man. He doesnt ask for recognition for his services, he doesnt expect anything. He does what he does for his love of country. For the ability to fight beside his brothers. To be apart of history. Apart of something bigger than himself. I will never understand his sacrifice but I can try. Now, what I expect. I expect my husband to be well fed for the work he does. I expect my husband to at least be well fed before he goes in mission to risk his life. The only reason he stayed well fed was because of me, because of our friends and family. The widows of soldiers who send packages. The veterans who send packages. Yet, I see the government more willing to pay for tickets, healthcare, and shelter for those who arent even investing a dime into this country. While my husband invest it all. I see so many of you Americans more willing to give a handout to somebody other countries before their own! Its a slap in the face to me. So many of you celebrate the Fourth of July. Our separation from oppression over 230 years ago. Yet instead of investing and helping the country that freed you from so much oppression, from communism. Youd rather give to somebody else than your own. Have you heard the saying. You must help yourself, and be stable before you can afford to help others. Marinate on that America.
