What would it take to end Racism in todays world? What would it - TopicsExpress

What would it take to end Racism in todays world? What would it take to cause the color of a persons skin to no longer be a factor in a conversation or their employment? What will it take to ACTUALLY live hand in hand and see the glory in one another? I listen to multiple sides on this issue and i start seeing a pattern. There are MORE than just blacks and whites being racist. EACH AND EVERY color has issues running rampant in the department of hate. We(speaking for ALL races) watch and wait for some one else to make a statement that we can jump on. We watch and wait for some one to cross some line real or other wise that we can take offense too. AND RATHER than calling that action out for what it is, we take a cowards way out and call it racism. This has been going on for THOUSANDS of years. Exploiting one race or the other. Hating what we dont understand. FEARING WHAT WE CANT CONTROL. We in turn are scrambling to set in place blocks, walls and escarpments that will beat the other races to a position and a stance. For years Whites kept out Blacks from schools with Whites. The first chance that comes along. There are schools put in place ONLY for Blacks, NO WHITES allowed. There are parades for The Mexican Princess and the African American Pride. The Orientals have their own festivals that others are allowed to watch, but not take part of. There used to be parades where the county Princess or the State pagent Queen was ALWAYS WHITE. Now Whites arent allowed to have White pride parades or there will be screams of racism. Heaven help if there was a White only school. I know our Heritage is different. I know where we came from ORIGINALLY is different. Where we are all trying to get to is the same though. When will we quit trying to play one upmanship to get over on another? If we want things to be different we HAVE to open our hearts and our homes. We have to see a person, not a color. As a white man, i am truly sorry that oh so long ago there were slaves in the fields, farms, foundries and homes of people in this country. I wish it had NEVER happened. That being said.... I never had a slave and you never were a slave. Why do we have to pay for the actions of others? Cant we just live today and love each other the way so people scream the Christian example is? Neither Jesus NOR Allah, ever say hate this man for what his Great grandparents did. Hate this person because they are different looking than you. ALL I know of is the example to forgive and love. Maybe thats the answer that we need. Forgive and Love.
