What year are we in again, NewsOne fam? I ask because some of the incidents still happening in this day in age make it difficult to see how things have supposedly progressed or changed. Case in point, Black student Donald Williams Jr. at San Jose State College recently found himself being bullied by White racists. How? NewsOne reports: Last November, then-freshman Williams reported that the students subjected him to constant abuse, which included wrestling him to the ground, fastening a bike lock around his neck, calling him racist names, locking him in his room, and showing him the Confederate flag. Oh and theres much more: apparently, the three White students, who are now expelled from the institution, thought it would be hilarious to call him three-fifths. You know, as in three-fifths a person during slavery. And when he protested, they just called him fraction. You just cant make this stuff up.
