Whats coming next right over the horizon: One of the things Ive been working on lately is the ability to include chords with song lyrics in Worship Him. Its something weve been thinking about for a long time. It was on the back-burner for a time because I wanted to incorporate it in such a way that it doesnt complicate things for users who dont need chords, while still providing chord-users with an easy to use and full-featured experience. To accomplish this I decided to use a separate tab for entering chords in the song editing window. The chords, if/when they are entered, show in the automatically-updated preview on the right side of the song editing window so you still get a real-time view of how theyre positioned with the lyrics. Keeping the chords separate from the lyrics has two major advantages: 1) We were able to add the feature without complicating the experience for users who dont use chords with their presentation software. If you dont want to use chords you just dont enter any in the chords tab. If youve entered some but dont want to project them just dont set any of your display feeds to show chords. 2) You only need to enter your chords and lyrics once, then you have the option of printing or projecting with or without chords. No need to enter lyrics with and without chords. Future plans for incorporating chords into Worship Him include a Virtual music stand. This will probably appear first for the PC, as a separate program available free for Worship Him users. You will be able to bring up any song in your Worship Him database with or without chords, as you sing or play an instrument. In the future we plan to offer this feature and more via a webpage service so it can be used on any internet-capable device. God bless! -Woodie Morris
