Whats on my mind? Well, Ive spent the last few hours researching- and coming to conclusions I have come to many times in the past concerning Facebook, and its settings, political stance and philosophy. Once again, I have arrived at the conclusion that this social media platform is dangerous. It disrespects privacy and information control, and it is counter-productive to the ability to feel secure in the knowledge that one wont have ones information exploited or twisted in some way. I dont believe that Facebook is currently a device of malice. But, I think it has the ability to become one, and currently seems scarily close. The way this platform has been going since its beginning has made me uncomfortable, but in a world of insidious surveillance it seems that discomfort with settings and data usage policy is a valid reason to stop. Im leaving this up for three days, and then I am deleting this account. Consider yourself notified.
