When Arriva was still operating all hell broke loose on a daily basis ! It is incredible to say the least that the newspapers, online portals and blogs werent full of articles portraying the total lack of management and waste of public money that this government has made us somehow become accustomed to over the past months. €2.5 million a month for the past 4 months, that is €10 million in just 4 months of PUBLIC MONEY was literally thrown down the drain in order to subsidize another failing bus service. The same amount was given in subsidies to Arriva in a year and not in 4 months. Now Minister Mizzi is telling us that Il-poplu Malta ser ikollu, jaghmel bhal pajjizi Ewropej kollha, kollha ! and the rest of his words didnt really make any sense. What did make sense to Mr Mizzi and the government is that whoever is going to win the public transport tender, will somehow end up with fat pockets and theyll undoubtedly have the government in their pockets too, asking for continuous subsidies !
